jc partial, Previously uncirculated 26 mins, I never knew Jon Casper, chances are you didn't either. But Jon was a long term taper at many Dylan shows, the main reason you won't know this is Jon was not part of the usual tapers circuit, and his recordings have never been circulated widely until now. Jon passed away in 2007 but now some years later his widow has given me access to this terrific collection. She has also agreed that I can share them here., I asked her to write a few words about him, below is what she has asked me to post, There's nothing like taping to help you notice how many people pay big bucks for tickets simply to hang with friends, and spend most of the show discussing what they watched on TV the night before or where to go after!, While Jon taped numerous artists Dylan was number one. He was fortunate enough to see and tape approximately 200 shows in the U.S. and several other countries, starting with the Rolling Thunder Revue in 1975., Some of Jon's happiest times were in the car after a concert, deck plugged into the stereo, listening to the tape he'd just made while driving to the next city. There he'd check into a hotel and immediately start getting things organized to be ready to roll in plenty of time for the next night's show., It was recorded on a Sony Walkman Pro (D6), I believe with Sennheiser binaural mikes, on Fuji FR Metal (type IV) cassette., Transferred back on a Nakamichi CR-7A and recorded using Adobe Audition, Unfortunately most of the tapes of this show appear to be lost. But I have decided I had better post what rmains., Enjoy, The Caretaker
