It was Dylan's only live performance of 1983., This is the Non-Liberated version. I had to do some homework on this one., By closely comparing both copies I have, I learned that the liberated boot has a patched fake ending, Crowd cheering was very carefully edited in at a particular spot near the very end of the last track to make it appear as if the song was really coming to an end., They were really slick at doing this edit, I had to listen to it like a dozen times, until I could find the exact spot where they pieced in the fake ending., After close listening to the tape transfer I have, the band continues on for about 5 seconds longer and then tape comes to an abrupt end. There is no crowd cheering at the end., I can tell someone went through the liberated boot with a fine tooth comb and did a lot of manipulating and it was done really well., On the liberated copy, you can hear a lot more things going on between the songs. I was quite surprised at the differences I was hearing between the 2 copies., The tape copy I have has the natural raw sound to it. it's not better than the liberated boot, just more natural and it has the real ending cut off., This is for collectors who want another version or just don't have it at all. I almost didn't post this, but here it is. Enjoy.
