Bob Dylan, 1/25/90, Rio de Janiero, 1CDR (71min), This is the show I got from Mike., Review:, This CD represents the first two thirds of the 21 song show from Rio. It's from a mono tape recording directly off of the soundboard. The vocals and harp are nice and warm and way out front. (Actually a bit too far in front). The music mix is nice, but a bit buried under the vocals. The drums and bass are rich and fat. Because of the mono recording, however, GE Smith's lead guitar becomes a bit cold and thin. The band is tight. Dylan's performance ranges from good to inspired. Songs 2, 3, & 11 were broadcast on Brazilian TV the same month on a show called "The Best Of Hollywood"; this seems to matchin cooledit to the bootleg cd "Rio" although not specifically identified as such; very good to excellent sound analog noises: squeakiness t4 1:44, 2:36, analog small pop 2:04, 2:09; small static t13 6:27, 6:31 1 Subterranean Homesick Blues, 2 Lay Lady Lay, 3 All Along The Watchtower, 4 Stuck Inside Of Mobile, 5 Highway 61 Revisited, 6 You're A Big Girl Now, 7 Seeing The Real You At Last, 8 It Takes A Lot To Laugh, 9 Ballad Of Hollis Brown, 10 Maggie's Farm, 11 Mr Tambourine Man, 12 One Too Many Mornings, 13 Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll, 14 Tight Connection To My Heart
