I also have the original Dylantree Early Dylan, but this one is better!, This is a gorgeous remastering of the Dylantree Early Dylan set., As you may know, the dylantree version was flawed with "digital fuzz", in many places, particularly on the Beacher tapes sections., The fuzz is gone on the bprm. Other annoying extraneous noises have been, removed, as well as overlong dead spaces between tracks. No EQ changes, have been made to the original sound of the recordings., Levels have been normalized to match up the varying sources., The overall effect is to turn the Dylantree product into a two disc WOW!, rather than a choppy collection of moldy old stuff. It's never sounded better., This set includes:, Oscar Brand Interview (10-29-61), Carnegie Hall (11-04-61), Bonnie Beacher's Apartment (12-22-61), and Leeds Demos (xx-xx-62); bittorrent download 08/09; this has similar info to "Early Dylan: 61/62 Compilation - Back Pages remaster" LB-2792 and is similar but different in that this has lower levels but similar spectral view and stracks cut differently; that ones levels are generally high for all tracks while on this the levels go lower after 48 miuntes for the rest of the set; the length of drops between tracks varies on these sets; this has more digital flaws; (did not listen to all of this)( reported in torrent comments that this not the remaster and was mislabled as such and so probably is before the remaster)
