Bob Dylan Blackpool Opera House Blackpool UK 2013-11-23 Blackpool Opera House (part of The Wintergardens complex) Traditional Victorian theatre, stalls, circle & balcony Close to 3,000 capacity (sold out) Contrast Clause : This is an entirely different recording to the one (of the many) kindly shared by Coops2009, recorded by SPOT (terrific effort, People), which can be found here : http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=474283 I read a review recently of Bob's three night run at Glasgow. The reviewer pointed out that the same set had ben played each night, although concluded that, whilst he'd sat through "the same" show for three nights, his biggest gripe was that Bob hadn't played more nights in Glasgow. Having seen Bob a few times this tour I can appreciate exactly what he means, and for the past month I've listened to little else other than shows shared by the Kind Folk who attended Bob's 2013 renaissance. On the face of it, other than Bob being in a black suit with "fern" detailing, this was the same show as I'd seen in Glasgow. Except it wasn't. I'm finding that each of these shows has its own feel...its own identity. I'm also enjoying shows with multiple versions circulating, to get a different viewpoint. Here's our version of this show. Slightly rowdier than normal crowd (certainly in the rows just ahead of us) so there's a bit of chatter and singing in places. Enjoy/endure (depending on how stuffed full of Dylan's latest tour you are). For me, as the Man said..."it's been emotional...". For those with relatively few titles in their collection, the new "complete" box set is a snip. If you haven't got "Tempest", then you should. These shows have thrown new light on...a GREAT album.
