Here’s another one of the latter, capturing the Paul Simon half of a co-headlining tour stop with Bob Dylan at the Gorge Amphitheatre. On hand for this one were Jared and SG, the S in JEMS, who can be heard at the end of the show shouting “More!” after Dylan joins Simon for series of duets. Jared was running his Nak 700s in the hat this night, and while there’s a bit of excited crowd noise around, overall this is very solid capture and pleasurable listen. Samples provided. We shared the recording with frogster who sent some additional insights on the performance: "A really fun show. Paul's playing this night is pretty solid (as always) and of course, having by his side the one and only Bob Dylan in the encores made the things so much better. The sound is really clear and all the instruments are easily discernible. The banter between songs is really loud, the public is really into the concert and Paul responds accordingly. This show also freatures a great cover of Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line". Paul is in a talkative mood and he proudly presents his band mates. When he introduces Bob Dylan to the stage, the reaction is... Wow, quite loud. I'm sure this will be an improvement or at least a good alternative to the other circulating recording of this show (LB-07143) and will please the collectors out there." Thanks to frogster for volunteering to do some posting on JEMS’ behalf. Many hands make light work. Also thanks to Jared and SG for recording the show in the first place and making that horrible drive over the mountains and back. BK for JEMS
