Bob Dylan, 11/1/92, Wilkes-Barre, PA West L.A. Fadeaway, Pretty Peggy-O, All Along The Watchtower, Positively 4th Street, Tangled Up In Blue, She Belongs To Me, Silvio, Mama You Been On My Mind, Boots Of Spanish Leather, John Brown, Don't Think Twice It's All Right, Cat's In The Well, Under The Red Sky, The Times They Are A-Changin', Maggie's Farm, E: Ballad Of A Thin Man, Highway 61 Revisited, It Ain't Me Babe from carbonbit: just to stick a pin in the origin story of this recording: dolphin replied on Zomb that the Sony microDAT had no digital out, and casting my aging mind back, that may be correct. I know I used my digital hub to make clones using my DATmen (D7/D8), which had weird digital connectors, and I THOUGHT I also used that digital hub to master my (few) microDAT recordings. BUT, as I say, dolphin may be right about the microDAT machine not having a digital output, that rings the vaguest of bells. IF that is the case, then I mastered my microDATs to DAT this way: sony microdat analog out -> Tascam DAT DECK (either DA-20 or DA-302) analog in ...which would make them D>A>D, but still definitely no analog TAPE phase, anyway. dolphin also mentioned, speaking of the Sony microDAT recorder: "those use micro cassettes which are not dats" ...I was certainly always under the impression that they *were* DATs, or digital, at least -- the teeny, tiny cassettes involved were called Sony NTC-90 digital micro tapes. I have always assumed that LB-3182 was a direct clone from my DAT master, although I confess I have never heard it. And now dolphin says his has a cassette phase, which makes me wonder about LB-3182. (I did distribute a few DAT copies at the time, despite the sad lack of Babe -- I also sent a couple of cassette copies to the taper, my trading partner in Wilkes-Barre, who had zero digital equipment of his own.) For what it's worth, here's a link to my DAT master, which (whether D>D or D>A>D) is as close as you can get to the source unless you have a microDAT machine to play the teeny, tiny true master (I certainly do not have one any longer, but I do still have the tapes!). (as I say, I have always assumed that this would be a very close match to LB-3182, although certainly it will be tracked slightly differently. I eventually got a Babe on cassette from someone, and that is included.)
