(First Sign of the Cross) (Flac), I received this show from a trader some years back. It was on Maxell C90s, of an unknown number of generations. When I digitized it for my own use, I definitely, fixed, a few spots in the recording to make it a more pleasant listen. (These were primarily rough transitions between songs due to awkward recording stops.) I may have also applied a light touch of mastering via Spark XL, I don, t remember, but if so, it would have been only to reduce the hiss somewhat. There is still plenty of hiss still apparent, so little audio was lost, if any., I gave this recording a name: "First Sign of the Cross." The reason for the name was that, after reading Heylin, I learned that the photos I have of Bob from that night wearing a shiny silver cross around his neck may have a certain significance. Supposedly, at a show in San Diego someone threw a silver cross onto the stage, which Bob picked up and tucked into his pocket. A week later, Bob appears onstage wearing a metal cross around his neck. Well, that was the Fort Worth show, and I was a 17 year old kid taking pictures., I traded/gave this recording out to only 3-4 people, before now. The surfacing of T, s [different] recording of this show at The Trader, s Den prompted me offer this one up. Enjoy., Lineage:, AUD -> Cass[x] -> Mac via Peak -> [light remastering w/Spark XL? Maybe, maybe not - I don't remember] -> Jam -> Kodak Gold CDR -> xACT 1.4d12 -> WAV -> xACT 1.4d12 -> Flac

bittorrent download 12/04; nothing above 20k; all tracks peak at -2db; hiss goes up and down; very harsh; different recording than previous one (did not listen to all of this one);

(a bittorrent from 05/07 was a close eac match; it was part of a torrent containing two seperate sources one of which was identified as a version of this LB number and further described as "I believe it was downloaded from STG burned and ripped.")
