version "a"; PEFORMANCE NOTES: I did notice that on d2t9 [10:11] Ballad of a Thin Man that this has a very unusual ending. The song seems to end about 8:30 at which point there is applause but Bob does not stop and continues on the harp and they go into an instrumental jam which sounds like another song cover for a length of 1:40. I am not good at recognizing names of these instrumentals but it does sound like an old standard cover., However dylanbase 97, dundas, heylin and olaf were not any help as none of them acknowledge it., I did check same tour shows ending in Ballad of a Thin Man. Austin ended normally and Tulsa sbd cuts off the ending. I do not have Lubbock but dundas indicates that song is missing. Dylanbase timings showed the other Ballad of a Thin Mans to be shorter versions. So it looks like this may just be a one time occurrence because maybe Bob was enjoying himself more that night.
