1/20/73 | The complete Pat Garret & Billy The Kid sessions | 2 | A- | 59min+56min |
version "b"; most of this circulated already fairly long on bootlegs like "Lucky Luke" or "Peco's Blues". The circulating versions were incomplete though., I got an (almost) complete version of the first two sessions years ago in a trade. The few missing tracks and the complete third session were released on the sountrack-album or used on the move though, so now I got actually all tracks., I finally found the time now to put them all together., I just put each session (well, the first two anyways) together into one large track, normalized them and cut them again into tracks after carfully listen to them., No edits have been done to the recordings. There's a quiet high tapehiss on the studiotracks but I couldn't find a good setting for the filters that would remove it at least partially without harming the sound., So this tracklist should be the best and most complete available., If you wonder why there are some differences to Bjorner's page, that's just because they kinda recorded freely, most of the time without really marking the takes, so it's often hard to tell what's a take and what's just jamming or tuning. I'm convinced that this list covers the very same recordings as Bjorner's one., All tracks with exeption of the officially released tracks on the sountrack-album are contained in this torrent (as "Billy 4" was more complete on the studio recording, it's included here as well, I didn't use any official source though)., Extracted from CDR with EAC (secure mode), Normalized and cut with WavePurity Professional, Burned/tracks separated with NeroBurning Rom, FLACd with FLACFronted, Artwork included!, all tracks stereo studio recordings (the 2nd session is stereo too although Bjorner says it's mono), exept:, * = mono film tracks, ** = only on "director's cut" (wich was unavailable to me), --- --- = officially released tracks on the sountrack-album (NOT included in the torrent, if you have the album, you can put them at those places, before you burn the discs, of course)
(a bittorrent from 09/09 has tracks which match all of this ones flac fingerprints; it also has additional tracks inserted on d2 from the commercial album; described as "CONCIEVED SEEDED AND ORIGINATED FROM: BOB T GUEVARA / 2007;I ADDED THE RELEASED TRACKS TO COMPLETE THE SESSIONS" with filenames like "DISC 1\d1Track01.flac" and "DISC 2\01.flac"
(a bittorrent from 02/16 is a close eac match on d1t1 and d2t3 with same digital flaws; described as "The Complete Pat Garratt & Billy The Kid, [BTG007], Lineage: CDR > EAC (Secure Mode)Wav > Flac (Level 8)" with filenames like "disc1\01 Track01.flac"; xref-01720)
