I have a Marantz 6150 with a brand new Shur M44-7 cartridge on it. I have done some work on this turntable to make the pitch control work again and have dialed it in with the help of some DeoxIt. I am running the turntable through a Rotel RC-980BX pre-amplifier that feeds into a M-Audio professional card where I am digitizing the recordings in 44.1 Khz 24 bit stereo sound. I'm washing up the records to get them nice and clean before I throw them on the turntable., Each of the recordings from this project will be minimally processed. I will track the incoming signal into tracks and manually remove only the largest of pops from the vinyl. Each recording for this project will contain the following:, A text file of the statistics that shows the recording levels and balance, A screenshot that shows the EQ applied to the recordings (if applied at all), An mp3 sample or two., Feel free for the wizards out there to take some time to clean these up further if you think that they have any additional potential., I can post the 44.1 Khz 16 bit stereo copies of the whole shows when completed, but would rather stick with the high fidelity copies for now. For projects with multiple pieces, I'll update the earlier entries in the series to where the later entries are as they become available (this takes some time)., Some of these recordings may exist in other formats from other sources on this site, but this is the first time I have posted any of these from my collection.
