iw mmitm lk, Source: Acetate and vinyl single, Lineage: Sourced directly from acetate and vinyl single, Tracks: Idiot Wind, Meet me in the Morning, Comments:, This upload is the previously unknown / uncirculated 'Idiot Wind' (16 September 74) from an early acetate, that doesn't have the organ overdub (8 October 74) which is on the test pressing. It is the same, take as the Test pressing (T6) and not from the Bootleg Series 1-3 take (T4 recorded 19 September 74)., Verse seven, We pushed each other a little too far and one day I just jumped* into a raging storm, A hound dog bayed behind* your trees, as I was packin' up my uniform, I figured I'd lost you anyway, why go on, what's the use?, In order to get in a word with you, I'd had to come up with some excuse, And that just struck me kinda funny., The * words indicate the differences between the original (TP) and the official out-take(BS 1-3)., jumped' is replaced with turned' and behind' becomes beyond' on BS 1-3 take., The second track is 'Meet Me in the Morning' - b side to single 38-540533., This new track has been around recently, but in very poor quality., In the new out-take the second half of verse two is new, Honey every day's been darkness, Ever since you've been gone, And 'Well, I feel just like that rooster' becomes 'You're just like that rooster'. (Verse three)., Editing notes:, Neither of these tracks have appeared on any bootlegs, pirates or torrents and have both been sourced and transferred by me., I have done light 'de-clicking' on the acetate track, and normalisation, but no compression., Original seed date 28 Feb 2013, Original seed source LesKokay

bittorrent download 02/13

(a bittorrent from 03/13 has matching md5 with files renamed and an additional file from LB-10741; described sort of similarly with filenames like "Idiot Wind (acetate test pressing).flac"; xref-01183)

(comment from lk on torrent xref-01183: "I was having a bad day with uploads and torrents. I don't know how I managed to make such a mess of it really. Not only did I include the wrong MMitM, I managed to mess up the re-torrent which was meant to fix it all, luckily I file hosted the tracks as well. It was only when BigO said that the lyrics for MMitM didn't match and Eddie the Cat talked about the clicks and the surface noise of MMitM that I gave it another listen, and then I realised that I had added MMitM from the acetate. As there were three tracks from the Test Pressing that got overdubs Idiot Wind, MMitM and YaBGN, I was listening closely to them to see if the overdubs were missing on all three or just Idiot Wind. I think it is just Idiot Wind at this stage although the mixes on the acetate seem a little different to me., I only stumbled onto this acetate, which I had for 10 years or so, when I was researching Blood on the Tracks for an article I was writing for ISIS # 167. In the article I trace all the tracks: Test Pressing and other official releases BS 1-3, Biograph, Jerry McGuire s/t, cross reference them to the various pirate releases (7 in all), and most importantly (I think) follow the lyrics and their changes with Dylan in concert from 1976 to present")
