The Cal Poly Rec Center is a general admission venue, and its kind of a strange set up. The bleachers are on either side of the stage, at a 90 degree angle. There is a small section of open floor in front of the stage, with the soundboard in the rear. The building is not that deep, but really wide, with most of the seating on either side of the stage. I was approximately 8th row for this show, counting heads from the stage. I remember that there was three separate searches to get into the venue, and a friend of my friend Dave turned to me once we got inside and said, Gee its too bad that you couldnt get your tape recorder in through all that security. I just smiled and said, Dont worry about it. Everything is cool. I thought the show was good, though I didnt know a lot of the songs. Bobs repertoire is huge, and Im not familiar with a lot of his material. Asleep At The Wheel opened, and I recorded them also. I hope everyone enjoys this one. My recording has been traded a few times but never seeded.
