sanq, Source: Zoom H4n > WAV > CD WAVE (tracked) > WAV > FLAC, This is a different, closer source recording than this one:, http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=596631, (Thanks also to Spot for capturing the rest of the dates on the tour), I do not understate this when I say this was an excellent show and outstanding performance given by Bob on this evening! Excellent phrasing throughout the night as well as verse rewrites in a couple of songs., There were many highlights on this evening, too numerous to mention every single one, but some included verse revisions on Tangled Up In Blue and Make You Feel My Love (he did a great job with both high and low notes on this latter song). Also great versions of Why Try to Change Me Now, Summer Days featuring some country fiddling from Donnie Heron, Stormy Weather, Duquesne Whistle, Pay In Blood, Long and Wasted Years, and Soon After Midnight featuring Tony Garnier on a baritone guitar (it looks like a Jaguar/Jazzmaster)., On Why Try To Change Me now, an audience member (sitting next to the taper) who is probably in his mid to late 60's, got a real kick out of the way Bob kinda barked out the lyric "Why" at the 2:35 mark wherein he laughs out loud then does an imitation in a gruff voice repeating the same word and once again laughing to himself in a comical fashion. But regarding the performance by Bob, this song was a highlight of the night along with an absolutely gorgeous version of Once Upon A Time with such a beautiful ending to it!! A very heartfelt rendering., Bob did plenty of passionate singing and was really into it for those that could see him up close and on Pay In Blood, his voice had some cool sounds and inflections sort of like variations on a rasp of expressiveness. Sort of like small tonal reminders of how he sang at Avignon in 1981 that aren't obvious unless you know that one well, but if you listen closely, one might hear it., While playing the piano, Bob's right leg was bouncing up and down as he sat on the piano bench, and it was a pretty good indicator that he was really enjoying himself and was inspired and in the zone!, This was a great gig from start to finish. Don't you dare miss it!
