version "b", No recording information available, though this is the same source as appears on the YouTube channel of "Irenehilda". (See: https://www.youtube.com/@Irenehilda.), ################, Notes on this version:, LosslessBob has two entries for Buenos Aires 1991-08-09, namely LB numbers 8787 and 8794. Despite the separate entries, these two are essentially the same., The LB reviewer rates that recording as varying from C- to B, giving it C+ overall. IMO that's pretty generous., Looking at the waveforms, I think heavy compression has been applied. There's no sign of clipping, but it still sounds harsh and somewhat distorted. (Those qualities may well have been present in the original capture and the compression used in the spirit of making the best of a bad lot.), In my collection, I have a different version of this show, likely acquired via a trade or vine. I don't have source information for this, but it is the same as appears on the channel of YouTube user Irenehilda, where four songs from this show have been posted., It's a decent recording, though not an outstanding one, with no obvious sign of compression or other processing. Most important, the sound quality is much better than that of the LB entries., The recording required some work, as follows:, - There was a gap immediately after the concert introduction. Simply removing this worked well enough., - It faded out after Rainy Day Women and then resumed part-way through the guitar intro to Trail Of The Buffalo. (That same portion is missing from the YouTube posting of TOTB.) I've applied a patch taken from LB-08787, including both the missing audience portion, to give a continuous flow, and the whole of the guitar intro, as this gave the most satisfactory join., - Trail Of The Buffalo was the only fully-acoustic song performed. You'd expect the recording for it to be quieter than for the rest of the show, therefore. Even allowing for that, the level here seemed too low. A moderate boost was applied., - Maggie's Farm had a significant gap, missing about 2 minutes of music. (Dylan tells us Maggie's mother claims to be fifty-four, but sings no more after that.) A patch from LB-08787 was used to make good this deficit., - A few noises removed. There is loud clapping throughout, but this proved too much to tackle., The tracks were recut, separating out the concert introduction and two lengthy audience-only sections., No remastering was attempted (beyond the fixes and level adjustment described here)., Some simple cover art is included, with the picture taken from Dylanstubs.com., Enjoy, Bhoy, Jan 2026
