The Memphis show is unique for the tour as the only show to feature "Fourth Time Around." This recording is another one of the dozen or so tapes that 'S' traded for via his Rolling Stone ad in 1974. This show circulates in many forms but probably all trace back to two distinct recordings. This one is the superior quality full show recording including The Band's set. Per Lossless Bob, most extant copies suffer from significant hiss and other issues. On our copy hiss isn't really an issue so we assume it could be an upgrade to most., As '74 tour audies go, this is a good one, clear, relatively close and without a lot of audience chatter. Like most tapes of the tour, it does have a lot of pauses/cuts between tracks but the songs are largely intact., The JEMS archive also has the second Memphis source that is missing the first three songs. We may release that one too as a full torrent at a future point and time., Butterking for JEMS, Missing tracks from the second source recording are included here from a low gen reel from the archives to complete the show.

bittorrent download 10/11; cdr splits not specified; probably same recordings as on LB-3650 and LB-9344 as seem to have same crowd at beginning of t16 and t18 and end of t29 except there was a cough like noise on this just before the vocals on t18 that I could not hear on those so it is hard to tell for sure but that could just be a tape flaw; in comparison on d2t4, this has less hiss and a fuller sound; sound quality varies; good to very good sound [B-]
beginning of t1 missing, t3 is missing end, plus some more
